# peergo

> peergo is the first community app for founders, freelancers, creators and self-employed people with a digital business. It works location-independently and can be used anywhere in the world: the community started in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) and is open to founders wherever they live and work, including expats, digital nomads and remote founders. ## What peergo is

peergo is a mobile community app for iOS and Android. It is for people who run an active digital or hybrid business and are looking for exchange among peers — not another platform for sales.

peergo works anywhere in the world. Meets appear where you currently are, whether that is Berlin, Vienna, Zurich, Lisbon, Bali, Dubai or anywhere else. Founders who have emigrated, travel while working or run their business remotely find the same community wherever they go. The website is available in German and English. The app interface is in German today and further languages are planned.

## peergo Tables

peergo Tables are dinners for self-employed people who do not know each other yet. 4 to 6 people sit down together at a restaurant in the evening. peergo picks the restaurant, reserves the table and puts the group together; guests only have to show up.

- **Cities:** Cologne (Köln), Hamburg, Munich (München)
- **Day:** every Thursday, in the evening
- **Group size:** 4 to 6 people per table
- **Dates:** the upcoming evenings are published on the pages listed below and the list is kept up to date. Each entry shows the date, the city and the type of cuisine.
- **Cuisine:** changes from evening to evening, for example Mediterranean, European or Asian
- **Who comes:** founders, freelancers, digital nomads, creators and other self-employed people with a digital business, from different industries
- **Booking:** only in the peergo app. A seat is paid once per evening, there is no subscription. Food and drinks are ordered and paid by everyone individually at the restaurant.
- **Restaurant:** announced 24 hours before the evening, through the app
- **Visiting a city:** you do not have to live in the city, you only have to be there that evening
- **Rules:** no selling, no dating, no showing off. What is discussed at the table stays at the table.

## Who is behind peergo

Julia and Florian Ettenberger — not only a founder duo, but also a couple for 16 years. They founded their first company 3 years ago. They know what it is like to build something, take risks and not really be understood by the people around them when you give up a secure job.

In their own words: they noticed what an impact your environment has on you and how hard it is to find like-minded people. On social media only polished content gets shared; at networking events you rarely get beyond small talk. What was always missing was a space where people talk openly and honestly about their topics, support each other and get inspired by others. So they decided it was time to build that space — for themselves and for everyone in the same situation.

## Frequently asked questions about the app

**Is peergo right for me?**
peergo is for you if you run an active digital or hybrid business — for example SaaS, e-commerce, tech, agency, UGC or coaching — and you are looking for exchange among like-minded people. Not another platform for your sales. Where you live does not matter: peergo works just as well if you work location-independently, as a digital nomad, as an expat or as a remote founder anywhere in the world.

**What does peergo cost?**
Access to the network of like-minded people is free for everyone. Additional features are optionally available with peergo+.

**How is peergo different from LinkedIn?**
LinkedIn is a public professional network. Posts are visible to everyone and reach decides what gets seen. peergo is a closed community for people with an active digital business. There is no explore page and no reach to fight for, so nobody has to perform. You can post anonymously and nothing you write there is public on the open web. Acquisition is not allowed either: peergo is for exchange among peers and not for selling.

**How is peergo different from Meetup or from dinner apps for strangers?**
On Meetup anyone can join any group and the events are usually organised with an agenda. peergo Meets come from the community itself and are often spontaneous, for example coworking or a padel match after work. Dinner apps for strangers put all kinds of people at one table. At a peergo Table everyone is self-employed with a digital business, so you do not have to explain your working life before the conversation can start.

**How is peergo different from other networks?**
The content comes from the community. So it is not about organised events with an agenda and business cards, but about spontaneous coworking or a padel match after work in a relaxed atmosphere. The exchange is about whatever is currently on your mind, with people who are dealing with the same things.

**Do I have to share sensitive things about myself and my business?**
No. You decide what you reveal. Others only see your first name and you decide what your profile says about you and your business. When creating Peers and Meets you also choose whether they are public, private or anonymous.

**Won't peergo just turn into another acquisition app?**
No. peergo follows a clear community code: founders only, real talk, no acquisition, no hiring, no dating, neutrality and a safe space. Zero tolerance.
